Our curriculum is designed to educate the whole child. This encompasses academic growth as well as values, character, and wellbeing. So, whether they are in the classroom or out serving the wider community, Hiba students will learn how to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Our Early Years curriculum takes your child on the first steps on their lifelong learning journey. With our experiential approach to learning, students will explore the basics of mathematics, literacy, language and the arts through developmentally appropriate, immersive, hands-on activities in both English and Chinese. In our outdoor learning areas, they will learn to take calculated and age-appropriate risks while they develop strength, coordination, and fine and gross motor skills. Meanwhile, they will cultivate essential life skills, like independence, building positive relationships with others, problem-solving, and self-care.
Our Primary students will engage with all course content in English and Chinese equally. Chinese language, therefore, will not simply be studied as an individual subject. It will be a language of instruction. So, your child will not just learn a second language; they will learn how to learn in a second language. This is the key to proficiency. Our curriculum is also based on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. This framework places a strong emphasis on research-based inquiry, critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, self-examination, and empathy. Through this balanced bilingual approach, our students will develop the perspectives and traits they need to make a positive impact on the world.
