Admission Season 2025-26

Our admissions process follows three stages

Stage 1 – Application

Your application journey begins by opening a Ravenna account. This is a user-friendly online platform used by most independent schools in San Francisco. It conveniently tracks your admissions to-do list. It also facilitates registration for events, your parent interview, and your child’s playdate. This is where you submit your online application form, your $100 application fee, and all the required documentation.

Required documentation:

Your child’s birth certificate
A confidential preschool evaluation form
Your child’s immunization records

The Hiba application process opens August 18, 2025.

The Hiba application deadline is January 18, 2026.

Stage 2 – Making the Match

One important part of our application process is three in-person visits to our admissions office at 111 Rhode Island St. These informal meetings are an opportunity to get acquainted with our school and to really determine if it will be the right fit. Our office is right down the street from our 99 Rhode Island campus. So, you will even have the chance to tour the school as it is being built.

Parent Visit and Q & A Session

Join us to meet the admissions team and other prospective families. Learn all about our bilingual English and Chinese provision and how we integrate multicultural experiences and student well-being into our curriculum.

Parent Interview

An informal talk with our Admissions Director. All prospective parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.

Mutually convenient by appointment, October through February

Playdate Assessment

Your child will participate in fun, developmentally-appropriate activities involving language, listening, and motor skills led by one of Hiba’s Early Years teachers. Meanwhile, you’ll have the chance to talk with our of our admissions representatives.

Saturday morning slots, December through February

Online options will be available for potential applicants who are relocating internationally or from out of state.

Stage 3 – Admission Decision and Enrolment

Independent schools in San Francisco typically make admission decisions in mid-March 2026. Admission decisions will be posted confidentially on the Ravenna site at a set time. Families will have one week to enroll by signing the contract and submitting a deposit.

Founding Family Welcome Events

After enrollment, Hiba Academy Bay Area Founding Families will participate in a community onboarding process. This will include a series of celebratory welcoming events, such as the new campus ribbon cutting ceremony at 99 Rhode Island Street.

Shortly before the school year starts, children and parents will be invited to orientation events, including opportunities to meet the teachers and visit the classrooms.
