        CURRICULUM

        Teaching for Tomorrow

At Hiba Academy, we foster academic excellence and personal growth with a uniquely immersive bilingual curriculum. As they learn in Chinese and English, Hiba Academy students also gain invaluable skills like cross-cultural competency, critical thinking, empathy, and resilience — the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly complex world. Our approach is one of the reasons families seeking top bilingual schools in San Francisco choose Hiba for their child's education.

        A Rigorous but Supportive Curriculum

Our thoughtfully designed bilingual curriculum and private school approach inspire a lifelong love of learning in your child. It is rigorous and challenging, but we provide a nurturing environment where they can thrive both academically and personally. With this balanced approach we equip students with the qualities they need to make a positive impact wherever they go.

        Chinese Immersion

At Hiba Academy, we leverage the bilingual advantage by integrating Chinese as a language of instruction alongside English in all subjects, not just teach Chinese as a discrete academic subject. Rather, it is a language of instruction alongside English in all subjects, even PE. So, when we teach a subject like math, for example, our students don't just absorb the course material; they build a more sophisticated vocabulary while developing higher-order reasoning skills in both languages. The end result is bilingual fluency.

        Teaching the Whole Child

We address the needs of the whole child — academic as well as social, emotional, and physical. Values play an important role too. Students learn to live the Hiba values in all that they do. We also teach global perspectives, emphasizing inclusivity, tolerance, and building bridges between cultures. So, whether in the classroom, on the court, in the art studio, or out serving the wider community, Hiba students acquire the tools they need to become successful global citizens.
